Our Mission

To catalyze transformative healing spaces that celebrate creativity, spirituality, and justice, fostering collective empowerment and social change.

Where We Are

We are dedicated to promoting transformative care and uplifting individuals, organizations, and the community. With a futuristic vision and a deep commitment to mental health, we strive to create a restorative space for all, considering the evolving workforce and sustainable practices.

Our organization aims to address the existence of injustices where power and privilege are unevenly distributed by fostering a healing justice framework. We recognize that we are all part of a human experience, and we support those who are marginalized and challenging systems that perpetuate inequality.

Living Agreements

Collective agreements are a framework to uplift a community in creating and maintaining a culture based on honesty, truth telling, and compassionate support.

We acknowledge and honor the founding lineages and teachers of the practices shared.

We are committed to creating safe and nurturing environments where healing can flourish.

We foster an environment that encourages self-expression, exploration, and the cultivation of inner wisdom to unlock the unique potential within each person.

We recognize that our individual healing journeys are connected and balance personal and collective care.

We strive to dismantle oppressive systems and structures that perpetuate inequality and marginalization.

Through education, awareness, and collective action, we seek to address the root causes of injustice and create a more equitable society.

Amidst the "Great Resignation" and growing disengagement within organizations, we understand the pressing challenges faced by businesses today. Burnout, ideological divides, dissatisfaction, return-to-office mandates, and pay discrepancies have led employees to reconsider their priorities and where they invest their energy.

At our core, we are driven to assist organizations in revitalizing their work culture, igniting creativity, and prioritizing collective care. Through our tailored in-person and virtual support, we offer organizational healing to small and medium-sized businesses. We facilitate safe(r) and more effective communication techniques between leaders and team members, promoting a culture of openness and understanding. By encouraging connection and collaboration, we enhance retention rates and boost team morale.

How We Began…

July 2020

In the face of a pandemic, the tragic loss of black and brown lives due to state violence, and the profound impact of these social issues on physical and mental well-being, our community engaged in deep introspection.

Our aim was clear: to embody the principles of equality, diverse ownership, and sustainability in order to better serve the physical and mental health needs of all. We envisioned a space not only for work, but for genuine collaboration and the nurturing of meaningful relationships.

Together, we are building a community that embraces the values of equity, collective well-being, and the power of togetherness.

October 2020

Amidst nationwide shutdowns, human isolation, and political division, we recognized the significance of Collective Care. Understanding the profound need for connection and mindfulness practice, we gathered skilled meditation facilitators to establish a consistent and secure space for the community.

Every morning, we invited individuals to join our meditation group, providing a sanctuary for mindfulness and human connection. Recognizing the transformative power of this practice, we aimed to nurture a sense of togetherness and offer support during these challenging times.

April - July 2021

We formed a core group of potential cooperative owners (stewards) and connected weekly to develop our mission, vision and business plan.

Through open dialogue and active engagement, we encouraged everyone to understand their social positioning, establish shared assumptions, and develop agreements. Embracing the richness of our diverse lived experiences, we embarked on the path of working together.

September 2021

Four core members moved forward with becoming owners of Opal Collective, LLC, a wellness cooperative, with the intention of building a workspace for practitioners to feel brave and safe to vulnerably communicate and practice their work.

May 2022

The lingering effects of covid and member burnout forced us to pivot away from an inaccessible lease. Our remaining two stewards continue to uplift the mission of Opal Collective to create space for the development and sustainability of the organization.
